Saturday we celebrate our independence, and I can not think of a better way to kick off that celebration, then a good old fashion American debate about who celebrates America's birthday better.

I have been to the fireworks at the Empire State Plaza and stumbled from tripping over someone, because I was trying to look up while walking.

I have watched the fireworks light up the sky over the Hudson from a distance on grassy hills in Rensselaer, and I have seen the Empire State Plaza fireworks from 787.

And now I wonder, why don't they make more room for people so we don't have to sit on a hill across the river or on the side of a highway?

I have seen the fireworks at Clifton Park Commons and got lost on the way home to Latham.

I have seen the fireworks in Troy, from Latham, and I was thankful that I did not actually have to go to Troy to see them. I could not find a suitable video of the fireworks over Troy on the Youtube.

I have seen the fireworks in Mechanicville..... Thumper the Bunny's father once said something about "If you have nothing nice to say..." but then someone from Mechanicville ate him.

I have seen the fireworks in Schenectady, but it wasn't the 4th of July, then I had to run.

I have never seen the fireworks in Saratoga, but I want to, because of the role Saratoga plays in the American revolution, I have nothing bad to say about Saratoga. My parents live there, at the Casino.

Now someone tell me, who has the best fireworks in the Capital Region.

For America.
