Or in this case, my roof. Have you ever had a set of neighbors that just have an almost purposeful lack of consideration to you and/or your property? The struggle has been real on the home front for the last couple of weeks.

Recently I've been feeling like I'm going to have a Clint Eastwood Gran Torino moment with my neighbors, minus the whole violence aspect of the scene. You know the one I'm talking about, where he has to stop the thug kids from beating up his neighbor kid on his lawn and he's like "GET. OFF. MY LAWN." Here's the clip incase you don't know what I'm taking about but FYI it's definitely NSFW due to language and violence...

So I live in the city right and I have this sort of revolving door of kids that live in the basement apartment in the house next to mine that like to party pretty hard. They have daily ping pong tournaments and nightly fire pits with sing a longs. Trust me I get it, believe me, if I didn't have to wake up in the am hours I would be trying to be their friends and hanging out back partying with them.

Over the last couple of weeks they have got me feeling like that quintessential elderly neighbor shaking their fist and yelling at them from my porch. Actually Wikipedia says that the phrase "Get Off My Lawn" actually is:

An American idiom of the late 20th century and early 21st century.

The phrase presents the supposed reaction of a stereotypical elderly middle-class homeowner confronting boisterous children entering or crossing his property.

Trust me I am by no means at this point in my life. I don't even own property I rent. However, these kids have decided that my roof is going to be their new chill spot. Sometimes in the middle of the day sometimes at 1:30 in the morning and despite trying to politely ask them to stick to their own roof and explaining that it shakes my whole apartment and freaks my dog out and that it's really not safe up there they absolutely refuse to stop trampling around on my roof.

In fact when I decided enough was enough and started documenting their escapades they tried to yell at me for taking pictures of them "without their consent". I really am having a hard time wrapping my head around how people today can be so blatantly rude and inconsiderate to one another. Even in my hardest of partying days I tried to be as considerate of my neighbors as possible by inviting them over, making them a plate, and moving the party inside when it started getting late.

Look I in no way want to be that guy who is like "I'm calling the cops" I just want to stop feeling like an earthquake is happening every few hours so I am open to any and all suggestions you may have. What do you think are these kids being rude or am I tuning into an old head?
