2023 In Capital Region Rock Concerts, Take A Look Back
Summer is NOT over! With temperatures in the Capital Region expected to reach 90 degrees a couple of times in the next 10 days Mother Nature also realizes that fall won't begin until September 23rd. This is a good time, however, to take a look back at the year in concerts, so far.
With a new season about to begin and fans starting heading to indoor venues, let's reminisce about all 30 of the Rock shows that made their wat to the area this summer, spring and late winter.

We had 30 different Rock shows stop by our locals theatres, arenas and amphitheaters. Which cities had the most Rock concerts and how many did you attend?
- Cohoes - 1
- Troy - 1
- Bethel Woods - 2
- Syracuse - 5
- Albany - 6
- Saratoga - 10
Most of the Rock concerts that took place throughout New York State went off without much issue. Even the weather cooperated for the most part. There were a few strange occurrences though.
- John Mellencamp was scheduled to play the Palace Theatre in Albany on June 13th. Literally the day before the show was cancelled without reason. To make things even stranger, Mellencamp played Syracuse 2 days later.
- Noel Gallagher cancelled his show at SPAC minutes before he was scheduled to take the stage. We later learned that a bomb threat was the reason for the abrupt ending.
- Bruce Springsteen had to postpone his MVP Arena show but the good news is the Boss is scheduled to make that show good on September 19th.
