Chris Jericho has had quite the career in both wrestling and rock and roll. He's been fronting his band Fozzy since 1999 and has been in various wrestling promotions since the early 1990s. He's held championships in the WWE, WCW, AEW and Ring of Honor to name a few. His next venture is into exploring the untapped music of the non-makeup era of KISS with his band Kauarantine.

I got to talk to Chris about the band and what is in store for rock fans in the Capital Region when they make a stop at the Cohoes Music Hall. The band came together in 2020 during the lockdown, hence their name. They all got together to work on some obscure KISS covers to release to radio because not a lot of bands were able to put out new material when we were all locked down. It went from them all performing these KISS covers together on Zoom to performing before KISS in Vegas in 2025. It's been a pretty good ride for this all star lineup.

We started basically online because we couldn't see each other in person to four or five years later we're opening for KISS themselves, and tearing the house down. Gene Simmons himself was waiting for us when we finished our set to tell us how much he enjoyed the show.

They've released several songs and had multiple top 20 hits. Their latest in a cover of "Unholy" off of the 1992 KISS album Revenge.

Chris and crew are having an absolute blast playing these 80s and 90s KISS songs, too. I asked him about his busy schedule between working in wrestling to performing with Fozzy and now Kuarantine, and he had this to say:

You kind of juggle the schedule. When you get the opportunities to get do what you always loved and grew up doing you take advantage of that. It's all worthwhile and all fun.

I also had to ask him about both the WWE and Rock and Roll Hall of Fames and which one he'd love to see himself get into first.

To me hall of fames are kind of just like totems. I think in my mind I'm in the hall of fame in a lot of different places. Until Iron Maiden gets into the Rock and Roll Hall of fame I find the whole thing to be ridiculous anyways.
