Cuomo Signs Law To Bring Fantasy Sports Back To New York

As many of us know, In March some fantasy sports sites stopped operation in the state of New York due to some uncertainties. Well now they will be back.

I'll admit, I haven't really been into fantasy sports in some while. Actually I did fantasy baseball some 8 years ago or so but that was the extent of it. Don't get me wrong I love sports and all but it just wasn't for me. However I have a large group of friends who were actually very very P-O'ed about the acts in March going down.

What I never seemed to understand and really still don't is that Attorney General Eric Schneiderman had linked online fantasy sports to illegal gambling. How? A game based on chance. Its not as if there is fantasy WWE.

Governor Cuomo has however passed a law that dubs fantasy sports a "Game of Skill" which will resolve any type of question brought up to Schniedermans point. Both DraftKings and FanDuel now can resume in NYS just in time for football season!!
