I'm about as rule-following of a citizen as you can get. That being said, I love crime movies. Gangsters, heists, whatever it is, I'll eat it up.

As such, I feel like I'd know to take a lot of precaution in illegal deals, you never know who's around the corner. One Albany man probably should have taken this advice.

Selling to the Wrong People

21-year-old Isaiah Foy from Albany probably thought he was a genius. He and his co-conspirators had been stockpiling illegal weapons, and selling them to certain trustworthy characters. At least, that's what they thought...

Turns out, between October 1st and December 14th, 2025, Foy and his accomplices sold eight illegal weapons to undercover officers of New York State Police. This was a part of a year-long investigation on the operation, and they hit the jackpot.

The Aftermath

Once sufficient evidence was collected, a warrant for Foy's arrest was activated, leading to his and his accomplice's arrests on January 15th, 2026. While acting on the warrant, police discovered 15 illegal handguns, four assault-style rifles, a gun switch, high capacity magazines, loads of money, and 25 pounds of illegal marijuana.

Now, Foy has been officially charged, pleading guilty in trial. As such, he faces 10 years in prison, with a post-release supervision period of five years. He will be sentenced on May 22nd, and it currently being held at Albany County Correctional Facility.

So remember folks, you're not the criminal mastermind that you've seen in the movies, you're just someone waiting to be caught.
