Let’s Get Cheesy In Cohoes With The Mac-n-Cheese Bowl

Mac-n-Cheese Bowl is back and set for Saturday, March 26, but outside on Remsen Street in Cohoes this year.

The 12th timesunion.com/Table Hopping Mac-n-Chees Bowl is a fundraiser for the Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York. Canceled in 2020 and conducted as a drive-through for 2021, the event has raised more than $400,000 for the food bank since 2010.

The year's event will have over 30 restaurants offering up samples of their version of mac-n-cheese. Some of the restaurants expected to be there are Valente's Restaurant of Watervliet, Druthers Brewing, Innovo Kitchen of Latham, and McGreivey's of Waterford. Many Cohoes restaurants will participate, like Bye-i Brewing, Cafe Con Mel, Donnie Magoos, Pit Pit, and Teta Maries.

And it is not just mac-n-cheese; six different breweries will be there so you can taste their beer as well. Besides tasting some of the best mac-n-cheese, an amateur competition for adult and kid cooks will occur.

You can purchase tickets online through the Regional Food Bank's webpage. Tickets are good for one sample per tasting station. Each ticket will get you a card to be punched or stamped in exchange for each sample.
