This Tuesday, a sports betting lounge plans to open at a local casino.

In a rush to open the first sportsbook in New York, multiple casinos are working on plans, however according to newyorkupstate.com, Rivers Casino in Schenectady just might be the first.  They are planning a ribbon cutting ceremony for this Tuesday, July 16th to open their new sports betting lounge.

The thing is, the New York Gaming Commission still has to sign off on their sports betting license.  That being said, newyorkupstate.com is reporting that the casino is "betting" to have the license signed off by the time the ribbon cutting ceremony happens (fun pun on words there).   The ceremony is happening at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, and you can read more info here.  What are your thoughts on this?
