As troubling as that may seem, it may not be over for those employees as New York says they have opportunities and open positions available for those federal employees who have lost their jobs.

Governor Kathy Hochul announced this statewide hiring in an Instagram video on Tuesday morning and that linked over to the open jobs in New York state.

There are hiring to fill thousands of positions, according to their website and they vary from department to department.

From first responders to engineers, to legal professionals to plow drivers, there are limitless opportunities to find a job you will love.
