It was a busy schedule in Section II Friday night with 34 games on the schedule for boys basketball and another 29 match ups for the girls. A big shout out to everyone new that has included us in your score distributions this week. We greatly appreciate it.

No one has to tell us that New York is a very expensive place to live but I had no idea just how expensive it is to live in the Capital Region compared to other regions in New York state.

It's one of the most beautiful displays and amazing events in the area. It's the 48th annual Adirondack Balloon Festival and this year they will be saluting all local essential workers. Because of the pandemic, this year's Balloon Festival will look a bit different. It is recommended that spectators wear masks and in an effort to lessen crowds, there will be no food or craft vendors this year. But we will still see some of the most beautiful hot air balloons flying above the Adirondacks.

COVID has affected a lot of events in and around the Capital Region. But there are two in Glens Falls that were supposed to be held this fall and have been rescheduled not just because of COVID but other factors as well. Now, these two events will be held in 2022.

Roll through village of Cambridge, New York, 30 miles from Schenectady, Sunday morning between 8 and noon and you are likely to find a line of people hoping they arrived early enough to get freshly baked goods from King Bakery Donut Cart!, and the cart is part of what makes these treats so good!

Last night, Alice Cooper took on New York and rocked the Cool Insuring Arena.  Broadcasting live, we got the chance to see a lot, experience a lot, and I have to say, there were some pretty awesome things about the show (and NOT just Alice Cooper himself)...

Ghost came back to the Capital Region to set the tone for Halloween week with live music. The heavenly hellish rock band brought their "Ultimate Tour Named Death" tour to the Cool Insuring Arena in Glens Falls on Saturday.  It was actually the last stop of their North American tour, but the band didn't show any signs of being tired or worn out...

Some beer, in batches 18130 through 19106, canned from December 2018 until now, were over-carbonated and those cans have actually exploded if they are warmed up. Like in a hot car or even sitting outside.

Glens Falls has already seen some changes in recent years, from the Civic Center to the now Cool Insuring Arena.  And more is yet to come. The city has a plan to upgrade the empty store fronts and areas around Glen Street.  Back in 2016, Glens Falls got a $10 million revitalization grant, and it is being put to use...

I feel like getting your car stolen is quite a bit more difficult now compared to 20-30 plus years ago. But it does happen. Here is the Capital Region town it is most likely not to happen in.
