The CDC Says You Should Mask Up In These 10 Upstate NY Counties
The CDC is recommending residents once again wear masks due to high COVID levels in several New York counties.
Our rollercoaster ride with the pandemic continues. And let's be honest, the timing for any upswing in COVID cases is never ideal, but maybe as we head into the warmer months, this latest set of CDC recommendations will be short-lived.
According to a New York Upstate story, 10 Upstate counties are among 14 nationwide that are currently considered "high-risk" for COVID based on CDC data. With the "high-risk" designation comes the recommendation for residents to mask up. The New York Upstate report says New York is one of the first areas of the country to see widespread infections of the new BA variants.
And love or hate these recommendations, they are just that - recommendations. So if you are vaccinated, if you have had COVID, or otherwise, you can judge your risk accordingly to do what is right for you. Whatever that is - stay safe and stay healthy!
