Three more days, and we say goodbye to 2021! Yippee! On January 1st, will you have your list of New Year's resolutions all set that you will try to keep? Or are you like me? Make a list and attempt!

If you have your list of resolutions and keep them, that is fantastic; if not, you are not alone. For example, 41% of Americans make New Year's resolutions; but only 9% feel they successfully keep them by the end of the year.

What are some of the resolutions?

  • 43% of Americans want to eat healthier
  • 50% of Americans wanted to be healthier
  • 53% want to start saving money
  • 16% want to quit smoking

Those four resolutions are great, and if you have them on your list, you are on your way to a healthier 2022. There are no rules to make resolutions, and it is up to you.

Here are some of mine that are so not traditional.

  1. Create a journaling and gratitude routine. I started the journaling part; I am not good at gratitude writing. I'm working on it!
  2. Try a healthy delivery service! I started this two months ago, and I really feel I spend less if I go to the grocery store, and I don't grab the junk either!
  3. Increase my movement. Yes, this is exercise, but I feel like I sit more now than I ever have. I now force myself to walk my dogs. They love it, and I hate it!
  4. Read more! I can't believe how much more reading I am doing because of the pandemic: nonfiction, fiction, biographies, smut(romance novels). I have a Kindle, making it easier to take the book with me.
  5. Break up with your phone! This one was tough, and I started this three months ago. I set some rules for myself that I am trying to keep, like, I no longer look at it first thing in the morning. It does not join my family at dinner, and if I do not need the alarm, I turn it off ultimately.
