A stabbing happened early Tuesday morning at Summit Towers in Schenectady.

According to The Daily Gazette, An incident at 4am this morning (April 10) led to a 35 year old woman suffering multiple stab wounds to her back and shoulder. She was treated at Albany Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries according to police. The incident happened on the third floor of the high rise building at 720 Albany St. where police arrested 46 year old Janalynn Anderson  and charged her with one count each of second-degree assault and criminal possession of a weapon. Reportedly the victim lived at Summit Towers and Anderson  was a visitor. No further information is available on what prompted the stabbing, with Anderson expected to be arraigned on the felony charges late Tuesday morning.

An unfortunate incident and who knows what the cause of it was. Glad to hear that the injuries weren't life-threatening and hopefully the victim makes a speedy recovery.
