Video has surfaced of Guns N' Roses performing a cover of the AC/DC chestnut "Whole Lotta Rosie" during the band's encore at Letzigrund Stadion in Zurich, Switzerland last Wednesday (June 7). What made the take on the song particularly poignant was frontman Axl Rose dedicating it to his dog, Rosie, who died earlier in the day.

"When we play this song, nobody really knows that I...when I'm singing this song, I actually, in my head, I see this little dog of ours with me on stage, 'cause she's always so f--king happy," Rose said as the group prepared to play the song. "Before we came to the show today, she passed away. So we'll dedicate this to her. Kind of the whole show for me in mind has been for Rosie."

Last year, Rose stepped in as singer for AC/DC in the wake of Brian Johnson being sidelined by hearing issues. His stint with the band concluded in Philadelphia in September, and while it's not clear what the next step for Angus Young and company will be and if it will involve Rose, Guns N' Roses are currently on the European leg of their ongoing "Not in This Lifetime" tour.

Featuring a lineup of Rose with guitarist Slash and bassist Duff McKagan, the trek comes back to the States next month for a string of dates which were recently extended to late fall, slated to wrap up with two shows in Los Angeles.

Since reconvening with his estranged bandmates, Rose has hinted that new material may be on the way from the current lineup of the band.
