It is a great time of year if your NFL team has made the postseason. Giants fans are happy. Jets, Bills, and Cowboy fans not so much. The NFL Wild Card Playoffs begin later today and you bet I'll be glued to the flat screen. Who else is happy?

Denver fans seem sort of excited, if only their QB was as good at throwing a football as he is at building hospitals. Lions fans are happy to be back in the postseason but I bet they would be happier if they weren't travelling to New Orleans on Saturday. Bengals fans should be happy, if there were any...Texans fans finally get a playoff game to watch although there is a chance the fifth string quarterback could finish it. The Falcons are back, but I'm sure they wish the Giants D Line wasn't getting healthy.

I am a Steelers fan so the postseason seems more like a right than a privilege every year. My team has been to three Super Bowls in six years. I have watched crazy comebacks, bad calls, shoestring tackles, and great grabs in the end zone all with the excitement of a five year old on Christmas morning. This team could run the table in the AFC or get "Tebowed" and limp out of Mile High. Either way, I get to watch at least one meaningful tournament game, which is more than I can say for the fans of the Seahawks, Jaguars, Colts, Bears, Dolphins, Browns, well, you get the picture. It is truly a great time of year.
