Hot Humid Start to Summer-What’s in Store in the Coming Months

Step outside for one minute and you will feel the thick, wet air as the sweat starts to run without even exerting yourself. With the humidity rising along with the temperature, the Capital Region has the potential of experiencing a heat wave this week.

If the temperature hits 90 degrees or higher for three consecutive days we officially have a heat wave. We reached 91 in Albany on Monday and according to waether.com the forecast calls for 91 on Tuesday and 90 on Wednesday. It will be a close call but official or not it's HOT! Does this line up for a hot and wet Summer?

If you follow the Farmers Almanac, you will see that the prediction is for a cooler than usual July and August but an above average amount of rain each month. July for example is forecasted to be 4 degrees cooler than an average Albany July but 2 inches or rain above average.
