Get your laugh on now, but his could be really cool to see in tonight's sky.

Tonight Uranus (the planet, not your rear-end) will be in what is called opposition which basically means that the planet will be on the opposite side of the Sun in our skies and at its closest point to Earth.

Now what is really cool about the planet being in opposition is that it means that us earthlings might be able to get a glimpse of the icy planet with just our naked eye! However, experts say that if we don't know exactly what we are looking for that a pair of binoculars or a telescope might help us get a better look.

According to you are going to want to look for a blueish green dot in the northeast sky near the constellation of Pisces. In fact, NASA says,

It's visible all night long and its blue-green color is unmistakable. It may be bright enough to see with your naked eye--and for sure in binoculars.

So when the sun goes down tonight make sure to take a moment to step outside and look up!
